What is the YLOD?
Sony prefer to call the YLOD (Yellow light of Death) the Non specific Fault Indicator Light. This is actually a fair description, its not very specific. You attempt to turn on the console, you get some beeps (if you are lucky), nothing goes out to the screen and the power light turns yellow.
