Night Of Two Visitors – As Christmas approached, the Jacob’s family eagerly anticipated their biggest family gathering ever. In just three days, they would all come together for a joyous celebration. Not only the four members of the Jacob’s family, but also Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Jim, Aunt Jeanne, their three children, and Aunt Karen with her husband Bob and their three boys would be present. It was going to be a special treat to have the entire family together for Christmas dinner.
In the past, the different families had their own Christmas plans, and a long-standing misunderstanding between the two brothers, Jerry and Jim, led to an unfortunate argument years ago. As a result, the whole family rarely gathered together for Christmas. However, this Christmas was different, profoundly different.
This year, it was what the doctors called “The last Christmas for little Emily.” Emily, the youngest of the Jacob’s family, was only six years old and had fallen seriously ill with a sickness that baffled the doctors. Despite their best efforts, the doctors had little hope that Emily would make it into the new year. The family decided to set aside all other plans to be with Emily during her final Christmas.
