Description
Ubuntu 10.04 “Lucid Lynx” was released on April 29, 2010, as a Long-Term Support (LTS) release. It was the last official Ubuntu desktop version installable on a PlayStation 3 using Sony’s OtherOS feature — as long as your system was running firmware 3.15 or earlier.
This version included a full GNOME 2.30 desktop environment and a suite of productivity applications. It installs using a bootloader and the PowerPC Desktop ISO and is ideal for enthusiasts who want to explore Linux on PS3 hardware.
⚠️ Not compatible with updated firmware (3.21+), Slim, or Super Slim models.
