Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon, released on October 18, 2007, was a non-LTS release featuring updated software, improved hardware compatibility, and refinements to server tools. It received 18 months of support, ending in April 2009.

Booting & Installation Instructions:
- Insert the Ubuntu 7.10 Server Install CD into the SPARC system.
- Power on the system and enter OpenBoot PROM (OBP) by pressing Stop + A during boot.
- At the
okprompt, type: boot cdrom - Follow the on-screen instructions to install Ubuntu 7.10 on your SPARC machine.
